'Break from Internet is almost heaven'

The Spallation Neutron Source is back up and running, and I was corresponding with Ian Anderson, ORNL's neutron sciences chief and director of the SNS.

I asked him, via email, how things were going without Internet access (due to the big cyber attack) and asked if he had any stories to share. He responded that he had no anecdotes, but noted:

"Our internal systems are working well and users are in here beavering away on their experiments. The break from the Internet is almost heaven -- more time to concentrate on important things."
