Semana Santa open thread

My usual morning run here in Managua takes me briefly on to the Pan-American highway. As I'm running this morning, a car pulled up along side me. A head popped out the window, "�Como va a Costa Rica?" It was a bit of a surprising question to be asked how to get to the neighboring country and I had them repeat it just to make sure I had heard them correctly.

I told them to just keep driving straight along the highway, through Jinotepe and Rivas. It's probably just short of a three hour drive to the border and I hear there is a long wait at customs. They had a map and I showed them where they were and confirmed they were going in the right direction. As they pulled away, I saw the car had Guatemalan license plates. Now that's a road trip.
